This position supports existing capabilities and contributes to new methodologies for data-driven TV advertising. This role provides support for our TV Network customers to deliver custom analyses.

The candidate also contributes to database management, audience forecasting, and optimization.
The Data Scientist will collaborate with team members, both to build out specific projects and to continuously teach and learn new technology and techniques
Apply deep, creative, rigorous thinking to solve broad technical and/or business problems
Communicate findings and solutions clearly to a variety of audiences, e.g. writing clear, comprehensive specs for engineers or explaining algorithmic concepts to product managers
Work independently with minimal supervision but high accountability
Principal Responsibilities
● Design and Implement tools for the continuous improvement and automation of related processes
● Continuously learn and share trends in the TV advertising landscape for model improvements
● Create analyses measuring performance KPIs for stages of the advertising schedule lifecycle
● Execute experiments comparing various viewing methodologies to inform best practices for clients
● Brainstorm potential methodologies based on product requirements
● Design steps for processing and cleaning of data and methodology implementation
● Create programs that implement methodologies
● Execute experiments and gather results
● Generate performance statistics and deliver recommendations to the Data Science team
● Collaborate with Engineering to deliver new methodologies in the product
● Collaborate with Data Engineer to design data architecture for the Data Science team
● Develop tools for processing and cleaning of data
● Design and implement monitors and validations for ingested data



Qualifications

● B.S. degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field.
● Good applied statistics skills, such as statistical testing, regression
● Understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms a plus
● Experience with at least one programming language (Python, R, Go, SAS etc.)
● Experience using SQL preferred
● Experience working with and creating data architectures a plus
● Willingness and ability to learn new techniques
● Passion for data exploration and a desire to deliver quality analyses
● Strong verbal and written communication skills
