The Senior Monetization Analyst is responsible for  the technical success  of our enterprise publishers.  We use our technology to solve difficult business challenges to enable success for our clients. This entails  deeply understanding  our  client's business, technical troubleshooting, architecting  technical  solutions, project managing  implementations, and  consulting customers  on  our world-class enterprise software.

About the job:
• Drive revenue and provide thought leadership for our top enterprise publishers
• Become an AppNexus domain expert and share that expertise with customers
• Build and maintain relationships cross-functionally; collaborate with sales teams and senior executives internally to ensure client success
• Deeply understand the customers’ business to help them leverage the possibilities offered by the AppNexus platform
• Mentor junior monetization analysts
• Deliver analysis by mining data from our sophisticated and extensive data infrastructure including our proprietary business intelligence platform, Hadoop distributed file system, along with industry-standard SQL, Python, and API scripting
• Present findings to top level executives both internally and externally on large scale monetization opportunities
• Stay up to date on and offer proactive monetization advice given industry trends and marketplace dynamics
• Work with publishers of diverse size, formats and regional marketplaces that call for careful application of the right tool to each job
• Teach best practices to AppNexus account & client services teams and learn from their complex client relationships



Qualifications

• Interacting with senior executive and c-suite leadership
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in the following: yield management, data analysis, ad operations, revenue planning, campaign management & delivery, sales support, remnant monetization
• Quantitative background desired, but flexible if you have demonstrable experience from advertising, finance or consulting analytics
• Demonstrable interest in analytical consulting and passion for operational efficiency
• Able to investigate client-specific anomalies and then scale standardized solutions across the entire platform
• Experience with SQL, Python, Excel and other data mining/analysis tools
• Able to mine, analyze and draw insights from very large datasets and tell a story with data to business stakeholders
• Team player with a competitive spirit for driving change and publisher revenues
